Almost a year ago we moved to SoCal from NoCal, and we knew that we had to seek out a church family. It was just me & the hubby that moved here. No kids they are grown and doing there own life. The weekend after we got settled in and the following weekend we went church shopping. We found our new church family at EFCHB the second church we visited we just felt at home. From the beginning we have tried to serve, it has been something we are striving to do. To serve like Christ serves me, to get out of self and to love and serve those around with me. We joined the missions team and the trip for Africa came up I'd like to say it was a God poke but it was my husband poking me with the IPhone he googled it during the meeting. After we left the meeting, we talked, and prayed. It is the Lord's leading in one life and a short time after we were signed up, prepping, planning meetings, praying, and I know more praying for me. I am going to be with 5-7 year old squirelly, wiggly boys and a couple of men leaders who will probably like squirelly boys, too! You can be praying for me for God's leading, His will, along with patience, for safe travel, for good health, and that I will do His will.
Proverbs 16:3 "Commit to the Lord whatever you do and your plans will succeed."
