Vacation Day 2

Today is the second day of my vacation.  As we went about today, I was reflecting on the things we have here to make life easier and more enjoyable that we tend to take for granted.  We went to our local bank on Main Street a few blocks from the beach to get a little "just in case we need it" cash for our time in Africa.  Not so easy, if possible, there.

Then we went to Wal-Mart for some last minute necessities for our travel to and stay in Africa.  For me, after looking at all the potential problems with using deet to repel mosquitos, I (at the experienced recommendation of my OCRM co-worker Ginny) picked up some odorless garlic pills.  Probably not available where we are going.

And after completing our shopping, we could not resist stopping for lunch at one of our favorite burger places, In-n-Out, which is right in front of Wal-Mart on Beach Boulevard.  Definitely not possible in Africa.

Actually, I am looking forward to the experience of this trip and living without some of those things I take for granted here.

Thank you for following our adventure and praying for us.

Blessings,

Joe W.
